D & K Carpentry are committed to an environmentally sustainable workplace and have created a policy to outline our aims.

1. D & K Carpentry will keep itself informed of legislation and codes of practice (Environmental
Protection Act 1990) on environmental matters that are relevant in its operation, whether in the
workshop or on site.


2. D & K Carpentry will, wherever practicable and consistent with the needs of the contract, use
materials or products from sustainable sources.


3. Any environmental problems anticipated in or encountered with the carrying out of the contract in
accordance with the client's instructions will be brought to the attention of the client and if necessary
to that of any competent authority, with a view to finding a satisfactory solution.


4. In carrying out its operations, D & K Carpentry will take all reasonable precautions to avoid damage to
the environment or the creation of a statutory nuisance.


5. D & K Carpentry will make every reasonable effort to ensure that workplaces are kept in a clean and
tidy state and reduce the impact of noise and disturbance to the community.


6. D & K Carpentry will ensure that raw material waste is minimal and will always endeavor to find ways
of reducing or reusing it.

 

7. D & K Carpentry has a commitment to the continuous improvement of its environmental practices
and will regularly review the environmental effects of its activities.
